If you know me well, you know that I am not a good vacationer! The thought of taking trips excites me but the preparing and getting there, do not. I'm a home body....always have been! So last year we started going with some of David's friends to Roaring River in Missouri.First of all, I must tell you about the drive to Missouri.....3 words...crying, screaming, crying( and one of those "cryings" was me...I wanted to pull my hair out). So, before we even got there I'm thinking WHY did I come with year with a 5 month old?Anyway, we had 5 cabins right beside each other and spend 3 nights4 days there. The men all get up at 5:30 a.m.and go trout fishing. Last year Jack was pretty interested in fishing and since he and David had been practicing,I figured this year he would love it...nope..I was wrong. He is so caught up in Braxton(his best friend whose cabin was right next door) that all he cared about what where Braxton was. The first morning he woke up at 6:30 and went straight to the front door and said, "Where's Brax?" It's actually a very sweet relationship...they both adore each other and fight like brothers. So, David fished a ton why I stayed in the cabin most of time with Sam. My mom and step dad Steve came and we had fun swinging on the front porch and laughing with Sam. Did I mention David fished???ha. Basically with a 5 month old in a cabin, it's really hard to enjoy the atmosphere but that's okay. I know this time is short and in a few years both boys will be fishing with David and I will be bored. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.(oh and the snake was in front of the cabin next door to us and it was a copperhead).

Halloween 2008
We had a great time in Norman for Halloween this year. I was lucky enough to see my Papa, Nana, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Great Aunt MaryAnne and Uncle Jake. I was also lucky to get to play with my friends Addison, Hadley, Emma, Mason and the Remy Gang. We had a blast and I had fun showing off my golf swing. I wanted to be a golfer this year because I love going and playing golf with my dad. He straps me in to the golf cart in my high chair and I go out and watch him play 18 holes. He will talk to me, feed me, and tell me what he is doing so that one day I will be a good golfer like him. This Halloween was fun although, I'm not big enough to "trick or treat" yet.
